Tool boundaries
Boundaries of online tools and API capabilities.
Online tools
/chat: Signed-in web text chat. It currently does not promise reasoning, tool calls, or a visual-attachment structure./img: Signed-in web image generation and reference-image editing. The page clearly displays which parameters are supported.- History is stored in the browser locally by default. It is not uploaded to the server for long-term storage.
Public API
The public API is intended for programs and third-party clients. It authenticates, forwards requests in the same wire format, and settles them according to each API or wire family and call entry. A private signed-in web endpoint is not automatically a public SDK-compatible endpoint.
Codex may trigger Search on demand in a Responses workflow. Search is a capability transported by Responses, not a new API family; DINGJIAI does not create a separate model, price, or ledger for it.
Capabilities not provided automatically
- Requests from Anthropic, OpenAI, and Gemini API or wire families are not converted into one another.
- Upstream provider keys are not exposed.
- There is no guarantee that every parameter supported by a client can be executed by the current model or upstream.
- Display-only or transformed parameter descriptions are not presented as parameters that took effect natively upstream.
